Projects
Charles Pachter has also worked as an architectural designer, renovating several derelict buildings in downtown Toronto and a studio in Miami Beach where he wintered from 1993-1999. He recently renovated a former ice storage warehouse on Lake Simcoe into a summer studio and residence.

His other avocation is as an enthusiastic history buff with a special interest in English Canadian identity and how it has impacted his art. He has lectured extensively on this subject.

Transformation of 1930s ice house on Lake Simcoe See "Articles & Essays".

Pachter wrote a journal when he was in the Arctic, and a ten-year diary from 1989 to 1999.
